  1. Met Jon when I joined the job in 1969. He was then a Constable 1st Class. Took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. I was just out of school and as green as can be.
I learnt a lot from Jon and kept in touch with him all my service.
When I was promoted to Sergeant in 1986, I was transferred to the Highway Patrol at Frenchs Forest and found that Jon was a Senior Constable there.

With blokes like Jon and other legends like Greg Earle also at the Forest, this turned out to be my best posting ever.

    RIP Mate.
