John Crowley Wonderful man. Norm was one of the 128 NSW Police who served with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNCIVPOL). For the past 30 years Norm was our passionate leader in fighting for justice for repatriation rights for our members (even though he had his own health problems). Army, Navy and Air Force automatically got it, (plus a generous daily allowance), whereas Police were not recognised (even though Cyprus was a War Zone and they worked side by side in Timor and the Solomons). Without Norm’s determination, expertise and passion we would not have stood a chance. We are forever grateful. To Norm’s wife Pam and the rest of his family we extend our deepest condolences. R.I.P. “True Blue” .
