With regret I advise the death of Donald Mure HIGGINS, 87 old, former Regd. No. 5731, a Veteran Member of the Coffs Harbour Branch of the RPA and a Life Member of the Police Association.

Don passed away on 24/02/2014 and his funeral is proposed to be held at 2pm on Monday 3^rd March at Coffs Harbour Crematorium & Memorial Gardens, Coramba Road, KARANGI.

Donald (Don) Higgins served the Police Association continuously from 1954–1976 as a branch official, conference delegate, proxy Executive member and Executive member.  He was attested in July 1947 and retired in April 1970 with the rank of sergeant 2nd class.
