  1. A devoted Country Cop who loved his Job and loved his family. Had the opportunity to ride along whilst visiting on Annual Leave, and so much enjoyed his company. A dedicated and experienced Police Officer, fair but firm running those small country towns and most appreciated and respected by his Community.
Along with his devoted wife Laurel, within the existence of living in one man stations, and raising a wonderful family, Laurel certainly played her part displaying the experience of a seasoned VKG Radio Operator in the co ordination of serious road accidents, bush fires, and floods, and with Gerald attending serious incidents in town.
So much admiration for Gerald’s strength and character , and no doubt there are many Police Officers out there who so appreciated his knowledge , his patience, his confidence, and his experience. Yes mate you have done the hard yards, and did it well.
