Jindabyne man dies after becoming trapped under tractor
Dec. 13, 2014, 6:50 a.m.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a man on a rural property near Jindabyne.
Shortly after 3.30pm Friday 12 December police and emergency services were called to a property in East Jindabyne.
Upon arriving at the location, emergency services personnel were met by a 35-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman who directed them to an injured 65-year-old man.
The man had sustained a number of injuries after becoming trapped under a tractor he had been using to mow the property’s grass paddocks.
Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the man until a doctor arrived via Southcare rescue helicopter a short time later.
However, the man was unable to be revived and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police will now prepare a report for the Coroner, outlining the full circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
