Awards: 1/ Commended for good work and devotion to duty during disastrous floods in NSW during February – March 1955.
2/ Highly commended for his outstanding courage, tenacity and devotion to duty in the company of Constable 1/C R.W.L. Pickering, near Sandy Hollow, in February 1972, when he engaged in the high speed pursuit of two armed and dangerous criminals, who shortly before had committed an armed hold up upon a Coolah Bank. Although Sergeant Beaumont was slightly wounded during an exchange of shots, the two member of the Force continued the pursuit, and after forcing the offenders’ vehicle off the roadway, chased them on foot but they eluded them in the darkness.
