It is with a great deal of sadness that we share with the Penrith Community, our much Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother, George William Bell, Passed away at his Nowra Nursing Home on Thursday 9th September ( 2021 ), with his Loving Son Simon by his side.
A lot of People will remember George as the Smiling Happy Gentleman, always full of life and very much involved in his Penrith Community.
George and his Wife Alison built one of the very first Homes in Cambridge Park in 1954 and is still treasured and loved by all of us to this day, being the epicentre of the Family, throughout Birthdays, Christmas celebrations, Weddings, and all manner of family occasions. It has seen a lot in its 67 years and will always be the Bell and Veness families spiritual Home.
Some may remember George in the Police Force in the 50’s and 60’s riding around on his Police bike handing out Tickets. He served with distinction in various Policing roles up till his retirement in 1990 and rose to the rank of Inspector.
He was also heavily involved with the Masonic Lodge, a place where he dedicated much of his time in the help of the needy, fundraising and caring for many of those people in the community not so fortunate.
Some may remember George as their Friendly Milkman in the 90’s, servicing much of Cambridge Park and Werrington areas as well as some of the Shops around town.
In his later years, George was no Stranger to his community, volunteering for Meals on wheels, and after some Health setbacks, threw his energy into keeping active and encouraging others with similar health problems to join him. He loved to keep his mind active and the local senior groups, particularly the Seniors Computer Club, found they had a great advocate in their ranks in George.
To us, his Family, he will always be Dad and Grandpa much Loved and truly missed.
His Funeral will be held on Monday the 20th of September at 11am as a live streamed event. We are sad that a proper tribute cannot be made for him at this time ( Covid19 ), but we will do the best with what we have given the current climate.
If anyone wishes to attend the Funeral on-line, please message the Family and we can provide you with a link.

Unfortunately my computer system has become weak and can no longer stand the strain I place upon it.

In order to get my systems up and running again, I have invested $6k in a new computer system which is currently being built and I would expect that a lot of the notices I place on the system, will be devoid of a lot of information that I usually include; until my new system arrives and my databases and photos are transferred across.

This might not be completed until late February 2022.
