David worked tirelessly to improve relationships between Police and the Aboriginal people and he was extremely proud that his father was a Black Tracker in the Walgett area in the 1940s.

I thank David for his Service and dedication to his people and the NSW Police Force.

May you forever Rest In Peace.

  1. I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Redfern. He was a great ACLO always willing to assist and advise what was the best way to approach some issues. He had the respect of the community and was able to introduce me to the local community who were prepared to work with the police. Dave was able to introduce me to members of the community who had also lost their way due to alcohol abuse. Fortunately I was able to befriend one such person Jimmy West former boxing champion. Dave had a special relationship with Jimmy and with his assistance we were able to calm volatile situations down. Dave was a special person and I thought very highly of him. REST IN PEACE DAVE.
