  1. A wonderful human being.
My association with the GM started in kinder; years from our school days; until we joined Zamindara Degree College, Gujrat, Punjab, Pakistan.
From here onwards we went our separate ways by joining different professions; he continuing studies in English Literature and I joined Armed Forces.
Despite joining different professional fields, our association continued while being at Pakisran and later on his shifting to Australia we remained in touch through medium of social media platforms.
So we had an association spanning over 40 years and what a wonderful association that was.
Alas my friend left this mortal world and made us all so gloomy/sad/heart broken that no words can express our feelings for him. I pray to Almighty Allah SWT for His Blessings for my bro Iftikhar and further pray that his soul is rewarded with highest place in Jannah.
I also wish to convey my sentiments to Iftikhar’s Mother and his family to include his Mrs and 2 sons.
May Allah SWT provide strength to all of them to bear this irreparable loss with courage and fortitude.

May you always rest in peace bro….

  2. I was really shocked to know Iftikhar left the world at age 51. Iftikhar and I spent several years in Pakistan together where he was born and grew up and got educated before becoming a journalist. I lost contact with him when he moved to Sydney, Australia. A few years ago, when I found his wife’s contact on social media, I called her to know about Iftikhar and she broke the sad news of Iftikhar’s death only days ago. That was so tragic. I have many pleasant memories of spending time with this great human being and friend. I was so happy to know he was serving Sydney as a police sergeant. May he rest in eternal peace. Amen.

  3. Ifty, what a shock. I’ve just heard. You always had a smile on your face. May you rest in peace.
