Geoff was stationed in the Illawarra area ( Wollongong & Warilla ) for many years leading up to his Retirement.

He was attached to Warilla HWP, Warilla Traffic Sergeant, Wollongong General Duties.  He spent most of his service in the Illawarra.

Geoff stared his Police training at the Redfern Police Academy, Bourke St, Redfern on the 7 August 1967.  He died on the 7 August 2013.

Geoff passed away on 07/08/2013 and his funeral is proposed to be held at 10am on Thursday 15th Instant at Parsons Funeral Home, Princes Highway, BULLI.

  1. I wish to convey my condolences to Marilyn, Dean and Skye, for the loss of their husband and father, Mr Geoff Richens.

    Many years have passed, however I feel still that we are family. I feel deeply saddened by the passing of Geoff.

  2. Cathy and I had the pleasure to work with Sgt Richens at Wollongong and he was always approachable no matter what your rank was ! He was an absolute gentleman and an old school Sergeant. Furthermore, a wealth of knowledge in his beloved traffic duties.

    Condolences to his family and may he rest in peace without further pain.
