NSW State Archives & Records have John UNION Bentley – born 1851 in England – as having Registered # (Q) 3529.
Searching for this man, I kept coming across John UNWIN Bentley – born 1847.
Then, in the article from the NSW Government Gazette, dated 9 May 1892, there is a John UNWIN Bentley – First Class Cst.
It is “possible” that this is the one person.
The Death, in NSWBDM, shows the same family members, i.e., mother, father.
There is a death recorded in Orange Cemetery, NSW, of John Unwin Bentley – died in 1901 aged 53.
