Nothing is known of the death of Constable Kennedy other than a very brief notice in the Sydney Morning Herald dated 10 December, 1894 advising that on Saturday last “Senior Constable Alexander Kennedy, who had been stationed at West Maitland for an extended period, died suddenly this morning.â€
